It all begins with an idea.

The Jaded Ravyn started as an Instagram account I could have fun with; a place I could pursue passions and interests that didn’t necessarily pertain to “graphic design”. I’ve always found that my interests are far and wide reaching and was afraid that potential employers would consider it unprofessional. I often find myself overwhelmed with projects and ideas that range from character design, illustration, painting, creative writing, tarot card design, bullet journaling, and other forms of art. I was concerned that being interested in and working on so many different types of projects and areas of art would reflect negatively on my ability to perform well in the graphic design field. However, as Shakespeare said, “A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.”

In December of 2022 I’ve finally started a YouTube channel, an idea I had been toying with for years, where I talk about and get to document these projects as I make progress on them. It’s my hope that as a brand, The Jaded Ravyn will eventually be able to stand on its own with a dedicated following where I will be able to pursue all these passions full time.
